There are various methods to lose fat while working out, and almost all of them will work if paired with a well thought out cutting diet; however, there are some that work better than others.

Generally, you can be guaranteed to lose fat when you engage in High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) and bodyweight workouts. Both are highly efficient methods of combining cardio with strength training and are great at ramping up the body’s metabolism.

Another proven method is to engage in strength training coupled with lower impact cardio 3-4/week (swimming, rowing, jump-rope). Although you cannot technically build muscle while cutting, you can, however, continue to get lean and stronger!
